IPOB says it is only agitating for the restoration of Biafra and not to take over the rulership of Nigeria from the Muhammadu Buhari-led government
Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), were thrown into jubilation in various parts of Onitsha, Anambra state, on Thursday, August 11, after news circulated that the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, released all their members who were arrested and detained by various security agencies in Aba, Abia state, during their prayer rally in February this year.
IPOB have commended the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami, for releasing their members who were arrested by various security agencies during their prayer rally in February
According to Vanguard, the group reacting to the release of its members in a statement to newsmen in Onitsha said all IPOB members worldwide under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra, were commending the AGF and all those who have common sense to understand that all those arrested in Aba must be released.
Meanwhile, the head office of Biafra Choice Writers say that their security agents report that President Muhammadu Buhari is getting very desperate in his attempts to get the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu killed in jail. The source of the Biafra Telegraph noted that latest communication from the office of chief of army staff that was signed by Colonel S. Sulaiman was part of the plan.
