President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, August 19, 2016 had a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara behind closed-doors.

President also had a meeting with Pastor Tunde Bakare, the General Overseer of Later Rain Assembly at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, who was his running mate during 2011 presidential election.

The Nation reports that the meeting with Dogara which took place at the President’s office in the State House lasted about one hour.

The Speaker was accompanied to the Villa by some lawmakers from the National Assembly including Senator Suleiman Nazif (Bauchi).

Today’s meeting between the President and Dogara was the second in two weeks. The Speaker refused to talk to anybody or answer questions from journalists at the end of the meeting.
