A group of people suspected to be herdsmen have killed Pastor Luka Ubangari of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at Shawa village, near Godogodo, in Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state.

According to the Punch report, he was said to have been ambushed, shot and killed when he was coming back from evangelism to Golkofa village on Sunday, August 21.

A source who pleaded anonymity expressed shock that herdsmen have continued to kill incessantly not minding Governor El-Rufai’s promise of safety.

“We were happy that the Governor (Nasir El-Rufai) had visited and assured us of improved security and that the killers would be found and punished.

“To our shock, Pastor Luka Ubangari was ambushed, shot and killed as he was riding his motorcycle home after an evangelical visit to Golkofa,” the source said.
