The Niger Delta Greenland Justice Movement (NDGJM), an Urhobo militant group, blew up the Ogor-Oteri major delivery line operated by Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and Shorelines Petroleum.

According to The Punch report, the group also served notice to bomb Warri and Port Harcourt refineries and Utorogu Gas Plant. Maybe the attack moved the former Minister of Education and member of the Northern Elders Forum, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, to say that Nigerians have found it difficult to live together in peace, he also called for component units to go their separate ways.

Abdullahi said on Tuesday, August 30, in Abuja during the public presentation of two books: Boko Haram: The Charade vs Reality and The Life and Times of Umaru Turakin Bauchi, that if the amalgamation of the country in 1914 by Lord Lugard was a mistake, “each region should go separately.”
