A Ghanaian woman named Enyolam Believe and her friend known as  Agatha Aigbomiam have been arrested by the  Lagos state police command, for allegedly conniving with her friend, to kidnap her sister’s daughter in Lagos.

According to the Punch, the 43-year old woman was said to have connived with one of Aigbomiam to kidnap their 8-year old victim on her way to school and was taken to Ogun state by the accomplice on Tuesday, September 20.

According to the witness, the victim raised an alarm which drew the attention of the residents, leading to the arrest of the two suspects. Meanwhile, Believe and the victim’s mother had been in search of the victim for some days before they involved the police.

Believe confession:

“I have my own children. I needed money badly that time and I thought of different ideas, which didn’t work. So, I decided to kidnap my sister’s daughter and demand N30,000 ransom from her. I involved my friend because I didn’t want to be the one to take the girl from school.
