In the early hour of Saturday, October 29 morning became a nightmare for Maiduguri residents as two bomb exploded in the Borno state capital.
Alhaji DanBatta,  an official of the Civilian-JTF, confirmed the two explosions which occurred at 7 am at a coffee drinking spot near the Bakassi IDP camp, Maiduguri-Biu road.

After 30 to 35 minutes of the first explosion, the second explosion blast occurred at about 7.35 am, near the NNPC fuel depot along Damboa Road, killing a woman and a tricycle rider.

According to Yunus Musa, living in the area said: “Six persons were killed in the blast and have been taking to the hospital.”

Alhaji DanBatta said:

“We have another sad day today, but we thank God the worst did not happen; because the suicide bombers actually wanted to enter Bakassi camp, and that could have been really bad.”
