People are crying and wailing as they were trying to save souls at No 3 Massey Street, Lagos Island where a four story building collapsed on Tuesday.
The reporter said that the tragedy happened at about 3pm.
Meanwhile the rescue operators are battling to rescue the trapped victims which some of them are children, from out of the debris.
According to Vanguard the affected building is owned by Kafo’s family, which was initially a three storey building before they added an additional one storey on top.
General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Mr Adesina Tiamiyu said about 11 victims had been rescued, including children around 7.30pm
Rescue operators like officials of LASEMA, Lagos State Fire Service, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Red Cross and policemen, were keen on rescuing trapped victims. Perhaps not interested on what caused the building to collapsed.
The trapped victims are reportedly making telephone calls begging for help from under the rubble.
